Sewing 101

Another new addition to BUAC’s event repertoire, Sewing 101 will explore the basics of sewing and creating sewed objects- namely, plushies!
We’ll learn a few basic stitches to keep pieces of fabric together, as well as simple embellishment techniques to make each plush doll unique. These skills are not limited to doll fabrication however, as these stitches can be used for anything from sewing on patches to emergency cosplay costume repair and more!
Sewing diagrams will be handed out at the event and posted online following the event, as a quick-and-easy reference guide for any future use.
Needles, thread, fabric and patterns all will be made available for a minimal fee. Please check back later for more details.
