:: IRON Editor! ::
New to the 2009-2010 school year, we will be introducing IRON Editor! IRON Editor is a battle between two top AMV artists. We will select the top two editors from the AMV contest and pit them in a one-on-one battle of the editors.
This year's IRON Editor is TBD.
:: How it Works ::
We give the two participants 2 hours to create an anime out of 5 different series. We also give them a special series, a series they must use when creating their AMVs. For the most part, the series will be related in terms of theme. We will not crossover Gundam and Sailor Moon and expect them to make an AMV out of those completely opposite series. Besides that, the editors are let to their own devices. They can use whatever music they want and create whatever genre they desire. So even if we do give them Gundam, they can make it a romance anime instead of an action anime. After two hours, we view what both participants have come up with. It is not expected for the editors to have a complete video after just a two hour period.
During the two hours the editors are creating, not only will we peek at their progress on the big screen, but we will also be showing popular AMVs in the background, so that the audience doesn't get completely bored watching two people sit at a computer. We will also play some games to pass the time by.
There are no rules to IRON Editor other than to follow the rules posted for the AMV contest. Any other rule leniencies or additions will be added and announced at a later date.
